Backstage news regarding WWE’s plans to give the men’s tag team divisions a “refresh”
In a video published to WWE’s social media accounts, Shinsuke Nakamura addressed Tama and Talla Tonga winning the WWE tag team championships and teased the arrival of a new tag team partner. The mystery teammate is believed to be Hiromu Takahashi.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE’s tag team divisions will be getting a “refresh.” It was noted that Nakamura and Takahashi are being positioned as prominent challengers on SmackDown, while Fraxiom is also expected to receive more television time.
On RAW, it’s believed that the pairing of Ethan Page and Rusev will become more notable. Although the Creed Brothers have been appearing on Main Event, they have reportedly not been mentioned internally as potential challengers to The Vision.
