The reason why Booker T has been absent from WWE NXT television
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has been away from the NXT broadcast booth for the past several weeks, with Corey Graves initially filling in before Wade Barrett took over. He was also absent from NXT Great American Bash.
While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker clarified that his absence was due to a family matter and not a health-related issue…
“I’m the youngest of eight. And when something happens in your family, family comes first. Everything stops.
For me, I’ve always said that being the youngest in the family is my responsibility to step up and be there at all times. I’ve just been dealing with some family stuff that I had to take a step back and deal with, and then get back to work because I can’t deal with things without working at the same time. You know what I mean? It’s one of those things where I’ve got to keep my mind going.
But no, that’s all it’s been, man. I feel good. There’s nothing wrong with me. I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. My health is great.”
