Report: MJF dealing with a legitimate injury that AEW hopes is “not serious”
As seen during the June 3rd 2026 edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF successfully defended the AEW world title against Rush. However, MJF reportedly suffered an injury during the match as Beyond Wrestling issued the following announcement via Twitter/X…
“Unfortunately @The_MJF hyperextended his knee during his match last night & is not medically cleared to travel or compete. He will not be in Cranston tomorrow night but assured me he will wrestle for Beyond Wrestling as soon as his schedule allows. We wish him a speedy recovery.”
Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted that the MJF injury “is legit but they’re hoping it’s not serious.”
