During the May 30th 2026 edition of AEW Collision, an announcement was made regarding plans for the vacant women’s TBS title…
Tony Schiavone: “We promised that we would tell you about the TBS title that was vacated because of the injury to Willow Nightingale. Well, over the next month, we are going to have a series of 6 matches, 6 matches, and the 6 winners will go on into a match that it could only be called the Survival of the Fittest match. You have seen it on Ring of Honor, Nigel.”
Nigel McGuinness: “A Ring of Honor, a company that made the style famous. 6 matches which will lead to one final match. 6 men compete, and whoever wins that will emerge— the 6 women will emerge as the TBS Champion. The history speaks for itself. Chaos all over the ring. You never know what you’re going to finally get, but ultimately one woman will remain victorious and take the TBS title with her.
Schiavone: “And it all culminates on the 1st of July, and that will be in San Diego when we We’re there on a Wednesday night for Dynamite.”
