Report: WWE considering alternative plans for Clash in Italy amid legitimate injury to Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu is scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Title at the 2026 WWE Clash in Italy PLE. However, there was concern about Fatu potentially being injured during a match against Solo Sikoa at a live event in Liverpool, England on Thursday.

According to PWInsider.com, Fatu was legitimately hurt, and there is concern he may not be cleared in time. WWE is reportedly considering alternative plans in case they need to pivot. Cory Hays of False Finish noted that “they are under the assumption that Jacob will be fine by Sunday” and added that “in the case that Fatu is not fine, WWE is currently looking into potential pivots.”

False Finish stated the following:

“Jacob Fatu was legitimately injured yesterday at WWE Liverpool during his street fight with Solo Sikoa. The injury is said to be a back injury, but WWE sources say he is expected to be okay as of now.”
