What happened during the Buy-In show at AEW Double or Nothing 2026 (Mick Foley debuts)

Here are notes from the Buy-In show at the 2026 AEW Double or Nothing PPV…

* Mick Foley was introduced by Renee Paquette. Foley talked about how AEW made him fall in love with wrestling again. He also called DON “one of the biggest nights” of his life.

* The first match was Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) vs. Zayda Steel and Viva Van (with Christopher Daniels) in a five-minute tag team eliminator match. Bayne and Kross pinned Steel with a double chokeslam right before time expired. They attacked Daniels after the match until Tay Melo and Anna Jay made the save.

* The second match was Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta) (with Marina Shafir) vs. The Opps (Anthony Bowens, Hook, and Katsuyori Shibata). Claudio pinned Bowens to pick up the win for his team.

* The third match was Boom & Doom (A.J. and Q. T. Marshall) and The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong) (with Big Justice) vs. Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Anthony Ogogo, Shawn Dean, Carlie Bravo, and Lee Moriarty) (with Christyan XO). A.J. scored the pinfall victory for his team. The heels attempted an attack after the match, but Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, and Mance Warner evened the odds.

* Mick Foley joked about MJF getting hair plugs in Turkey, but he was interrupted by MJF. MJF said Foley always failed in his career and that Darby Allin was also going to let people down. MJF added that Mick Foley and Darby Allin are both underdogs who lose.

Foley admitted that he lost but guys like The Rock can recall his wins (fans booed Rock’s name), but said he never lost in two minutes like MJF did to Darby. Foley said MJF had wavy hair and that he would be waving his hair goodbye.

MJF responded by giving Foley a low blow and was going to hit Darby Allin with his Dynamite Diamond Ring, but Darby ran down to make the save.

Foley grabbed the mic and gave a pep talk to Darby Allin. Foley told him to “win one for the weird ones” and prove the doubters wrong.
