Darby Allin (c) vs. MJF in an AEW world title match with MJF’s hair on the line took place at AEW Double or Nothing 2026. Here are the highlights…

MJF’s entrance was interrupted by Darby Allin’s introduction video. Once both men were in the ring, Justin Roberts recited special introductions for each. A barber’s chair was shown by the stage.

Darby went for multiple pin attempts immediately and sent MJF to the outside. Darby went for a dive, but MJF sidestepped him, and Darby crashed into the announce desk. MJF powerbombed Darby Allin onto the apron and continued to deliver offense.

Darby managed to fight back and successfully connected with a dive that sent MJF over the announce desk. Darby then went for a Coffin Drop on the apron but missed. MJF followed up with a package piledriver onto the steps.

Back in the ring, Darby hit a low blow while the referee was looking and nearly pinned MJF with a side headlock. Darby went for a Coffin Drop, but MJF got his knees up. Darby was able to counter MJF with a Scorpion Death Drop. After the two traded numerous nearfalls, Darby connected with the Code Red, and they received a standing ovation from the fans. Both men pulled themselves back up, and the fight continued. Darby went for another dive, but MJF pulled the cameraman in front of him.

The two fought by the stage. After laying out MJF on a table, Darby climbed the stage scaffolding and put MJF through the table with a Coffin Drop. Darby was bleeding from the back of the head.

Darby got MJF back in the ring and hit a Coffin Drop, but MJF kicked out. Darby applied the Scorpion Death Lock, but his body gave out on him. MJF tried to capitalize, but Darby hit another Scorpion Death Drop. Darby went up top but was caught by MJF, who then delivered an avalanche tombstone piledriver followed by a side headlock pin to win the title.

After the match, Darby was loaded onto a stretcher. MJF acted like he was going to attack Darby, but Kevin Knight made the save. However, Knight turned against Darby by giving him a UFO splash from the top rope onto the stretcher.
