Matt Jackson says there were talks with Triple H about a potential New Day vs. The Elite match

The Young Bucks revealed on their Being The Elite vlog that they once spoke with Triple H about a potential match involving Kenny Omega against The New Day, but the match never came together. Outside of wrestling, both groups were known for their shared love of video games, frequently competing in tournaments that were showcased through vlogs and social media.

Here is what Matt stated…

“We truly were trying to get a New Day, Young Bucks, Kenny match to happen—an Elite vs. New Day match was actively being discussed. They (WWE) said they were trying on their side, and we were definitely talking to our bosses about making it happen.

It even got to the point in 2018 where we got on the phone with Triple H. We told him, ‘Hey, we would really like to do this match.’

I don’t know if he was necessarily interested in just doing that match. I think he was more interested in pursuing us to work for him, but we did talk to him about it.

We were serious about making the match happen, and we thought we’d probably be able to do it. Unfortunately, it never came together.” (quote courtesy of F4WOnline.com)
