John Cena will be breaking “some history-making news” at WWE Backlash
Benchmark International Arena, which will host WWE’s 2026 Backlash event, is officially advertising John Cena for the May 9th show in Tampa. “JOHN CENA RETURNS TO TAMPA AT BACKLASH!,” the venue’s website states.
Cena confirmed his status for the PLE with the following message via Twitter/X…
“It’s official! I’m headed to WWE Backlash! After months of planning and effort, I am SO excited to break some history-making news! I can’t promise it’ll be perfect but I can promise it will change the WWE experience for Superstars and fans! C U Live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the espn app!”
