Update on Adam Cole’s WWE status following the NXT Takeover 36 PPV
Adam Cole was defeated by Kyle O’Reilly in a two out of three falls match at the NXT Takeover 36 PPV event on Sunday night.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, it was confirmed that Takeover 36 was Cole’s final appearance with the NXT brand although Johnson didn’t indicate what is next for Cole. Fightful.com noted that Cole did not sign a new contract with WWE as of Sunday morning and the belief is that Cole is officially a free agent.
When Cole first signed with NXT, he was killed off during the Being The Elite series. The Young Bucks teased that Cole would be “resurrected” by posting a link to a video titled The Most Infamous Seances in History in their Twitter bio. Britt Baker retweeted the Bucks…
