“I feel like it’s about staying ready and knowing that I’m talented enough that if they give me the ball, it’s guaranteed—you know what I mean? I think that’s always been my mentality.
You ever heard that phrase, ‘Success is not earned, it’s given?’ I feel like that applies a lot, especially in WWE—or anywhere, really. Until they give you the ball, how are they going to know if you can score?
Until they put you on the field, how do they know if you can make a play?
I think that’s what it really comes down to with what we do—just waiting for the opportunity, waiting for them to put you in.”
