Hulk Hogan excluded from In Memoriam segment at Academy Awards

Hulk Hogan, a WWE Hall of Famer who appeared in several films during his career and whose role in Rocky III helped elevate his mainstream celebrity, was not included in the Academy Awards In Memoriam segment on Sunday night. Hogan passed away in July of 2025.

Hogan was also absent from the Academy’s official In Memoriam listing on its website.

Over the years, Hogan starred in films such as No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, Mr. Nanny, Santa with Muscles, and 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain. He also made appearances in Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Muppets from Space.
