Backstage news regarding “Road Dogg” Brian James leaving WWE’s creative team

On Thursday, it was reported that “Road Dogg” Brian James is no longer woring for WWE’s creative team. Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted the following regarding James’ departure…

“WWE sources have cited that James openly expressed his unhappiness and tendered his resignation from the creative team. James was not let go and nothing that happened today was a result of WWE removing him. In fact, it was the exact opposite. He walked away from the job.”

It was also noted that for those asking about WWE World putting meet-and-greets for James in Las Vegas on sale, he is under a WWE Legends deal that is separate from his former employment with the company. Because of that, it’s entirely possible he will still make those appearances.

Cory Hays of BodySlam.net stated the following…

“Road Dogg was upset with his diminishing role in creative in recent months and decided to walk away today. One person I’ve spoken to stated that it seemed like it was almost inevitable that Road Dogg was on the way out.”
