News regarding Aleister Black’s status with WWE following ambulance match loss to Damian Priest

As seen during the January 2nd 2026 edition of WWE SmackDown, Aleister Black was defeated by Damian Priest in an ambulance match. He has not been seen on television since the loss.

According to PWInsider.com, Black’s absence is part of a planned hiatus to sell the ambulance match. There’s a belief that he was a bit banged up afterwards but not hurt to the point that he couldn’t appear on television if needed.

Black has not been part of WWE’s ongoing European tour. At this time, it’s unknown when he will be returning to action.
