Report: Tommaso Ciampa planning to leave WWE when his contract expires

Johnny Gargano has appeared on WWE television alongside Candice LeRae over the past two weeks, but his DIY partner Tommaso Ciampa has been absent. Ciampa’s last appearance was on the December 19th 2025 edition of SmackDown, where he and Gargano lost to Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes.

According to Bodyslam.net, Ciampa’s WWE contract is nearing its expiration. According to the report, he is “finishing his time up with the company without a renewal.” It is currently unclear whether he intends to sign elsewhere or simply take time off.
