Update on MJF’s status following his loss to Mark Briscoe at the 2025 AEW All Out PPV event

AEW star MJF has not wrestled since losing to Mark Briscoe in a tables and thumbtacks match at the 2025 All Out PPV event. MJF is currently filming Violent Night 2 and Fightful.com reports that he is set to be finished “relatively soon.”

MJF’s recent acting projects include The Iron Claw and Happy Gilmore 2. Fightful noted that MJF has gotten “the acting bug” and has spoken about how much he’s enjoyed his roles.

At this time, it’s unknown when MJF will return to television and he currently isn’t being advertised for the 2025 Full Gear PPV event in Newark, NJ. In his last appearance on AEW television, MJF teased a change to his character…

“Let’s face it, folks. Osprey, Swerve, Hangman, you can beat yourself all you want, but they were once in my dust. Now I’m in theirs. When I come back, I will no longer be playing MJF. Hell, I won’t even be the MJF of old. No, no. I will not come back until I am the most dangerous I have ever been. I will lap around everyone in this company, everyone in this profession. Doubt? There were times, I’m sure you knew, I bit off more than I could chew, but through it all when there was doubt, I ate it up, and I spit it out. When I come back, I am taking my spot at the top of professional wrestling, and I am going to do it the only way I know how, whether you like or not. My way.”
