Will Ospreay is reportedly still “a long way away from returning” despite social media post
AEW star Will Ospreay has been out of action since the 2025 Forbidden Door PPV event. Ospreay is currently recovering from successful neck surgery, and a recent Instagram post sparked speculation about him returning at the start of 2026. Here is what the post stated…
“@aew Allstar @willospreay 6 weeks post op and doing great! Still some way to go but we’re on the right road. Jan 2026.”
However, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Ospreay’s recovery timeline…
“Some people brought up to me from a social media post thinking he would be back in January. That is not the case. He is hopeful of being able to start light weight workouts in January. He is a long way away from returning.”
