John Cena vs. AJ Styles took place at WWE Crown Jewel 2025. Here are the highlights…

Styles was wearing his classic gear from TNA Wrestling. Cena had a special ring introduction written for Styles: “Ladies & Gentleman, the definition of Total Nonstop Action. The ace and undisputed boss of The Bullet Club, it’s our honor as fans and my honor as an opponent to see if he can beat up John Cena one final time. He is the face that runs the place, The Phenomenal, AJ Styles!”

There was a feeling-out process in the early moments as the fans started various chants, including a “TNA” one. After Styles got some offense in, Cena hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle followed by the Attitude Adjustment, but Styles kicked out. Styles used The Miz’s Skull-Crushing Finale but still couldn’t secure the win.

Styles came back with a Scorpion Death Drop on Cena. Cena countered a Styles Clash attempt with an STFU. Cena then applied Rusev’s Accolade, but Styles countered into Samoa Joe’s Coquina Clutch. Cena countered again into Chris Jericho’s Walls of Jericho.

Styles was finally able to hit the Styles Clash, but Cena kicked out. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Cena countered with a Sister Abigail. The fireflies came out with fans chanting “thank you Wyatt.”

After Styles hit the Angel’s Wings, the two men traded blows. Styles countered a Pedigree with a Deadeye, which led to a “Holy sh*t” chant from the fans. Cena came back with Randy Orton’s Draping DDT followed by an RKO, but Styles kicked out. Cena went for Orton’s Punk Kick, but Styles moved. Styles hit the Attitude Adjustment, but Cena kicked out.

Styles went for a Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Cena countered with a chokeslam. The crowd chanted “619,” and Cena went for it, but Styles countered with a clothesline. Styles then delivered a 450 Splash followed by Shawn Michaels’ Sweet Chin Music, but Cena kicked out.

Styles hit a Phenomenal Forearm, but Cena kicked out. Cena came back with another Attitude Adjustment, but Styles kicked out again. Styles went off the top rope, but Cena caught him and hit a Tombstone Piledriver, followed by another Attitude Adjustment for the victory.

After the match, the two men shook hands, hugged, and raised each other’s hands.
