Speculation that Naomi could be out of WWE action for a “long time”

Just prior to the August 11th 2025 edition of WWE RAW, WWE announced that women’s world champion Naomi was not medically cleared to compete. Due to Naomi’s situation, her scheduled match against Iyo Sky for RAW was canceled. Iyo ended up losing a match to Roxanne Perez after an assist from Asuka and Kairi Sane went wrong.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Naomi was backstage at the event earlier in the day. Naomi’s match being pulled was not a case of her missing the show but whatever the reason was, it was largely kept quiet from other talents. At this time, it’s unknown how long she will be out of action.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com noted the following about Naomi…

“There is definitely a rumor going around in WWE about what’s going on with Naomi. It’s being talked about by people there, and if it is in fact what’s going on, she is going to be out for a long, long time. My presumption is that people will probably find out fairly soon. But if this is the case, she would be out for quite a while.”
