News regarding Matt and Jeff Hardy making a cameo appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2025

While speaking on his podcast, TNA Wrestling tag team champion Matt Hardy commented on himself and brother Jeff making a cameo appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2025…

“So, it initially started when we were booked to come do some content a little earlier in the week. John Cone, who has been absolutely a pleasure to deal with, had reached out to us about coming to film some evergreen content — a lot of it for their A&E shows and social media. We’re WWE Legacy acts, and they view us as such, so we were already doing that on Friday.

I want to say it was Wednesday or Thursday when I spoke with Shane [Helms]. We catch up every so often, and I said, ‘Yeah, man, I was thinking about that TLC match. It might be neat if Jeff and I were there in the crowd watching. You know, it’s the 25-year anniversary of the first-ever TLC match.’ I told him it would be cool if that happened, but I didn’t want to distract people or make them think we were out there to challenge the champs or jump in the match — just to be there paying respect to the teams carrying the TLC tradition forward. He said, ‘God, I love that idea. That’s great. I might pitch it. Are you okay with that? Would you guys be okay doing it?’ I said, ‘Yeah, sure.’ He pitched it to a couple of higher-up people, and they liked it. It officially got cleared — I guess through the man with three H’s — maybe Sunday morning or late Saturday night.

Shane ended up adding a little more to it by also reaching out to the Dudleys and getting them out there as well. I thought it was really cool that the Hardys and the Dudleys were sitting out there. We saw a couple of the teams before and thought, ‘Oh, man, not like we had enough pressure as it was — now the OGs are going to be watching us.’ But it was fun, man. I was really proud of everybody.”
