MR. TITO: Assessing the Outrage by Online Wrestling Fans to Brock Lesnar’s WWE Return at SummerSlam 2025
The Morality Squad, armed with the wrath of God (yes, that’s a GWAR song) is coming for the WWE and they are harassing WWE’s sponsors regarding the return of Brock Lesnar from Summerslam 2025. Many wrestling fans and outrage bandwagon riding non-wrestling fans are on the attack, tweeting at the sponsors’ official social media accounts in hopes of causing threats to WWE’s revenue streams to influence a change. They are probably reminded of when Vince McMahon resigned when Slim Jim threatened to pull ads. Well, now the Morality Squad are circling their wagons around Slim Jim to induce a similar action.
YET, someone else who has been named in the Vince McMahon/WWE lawsuit with Janel Grant is still on the WWE payroll. In fact, he’s featured prominently in the Netflix documentary series Unreal. Michael P.S. Hayes was also named in the lawsuit of being offered “customized pornographic content” of Grant by Vince McMahon. From the “Unreal” documentary series, Hayes is featured often and played a major role agenting matches and coming up with creative ideas. In fact, he was the idea guy behind the Wrestlemania 41 finish between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk where Paul Heyman turned on both Reigns and Punk to join Seth Rollins.
So the lawsuit’s details were filed during January 2024… That’s funny, you outraged wrestling fans didn’t care for an entire 18 months about Hayes remaining employed with the WWE and yet you’re completely insane about Brock Lesnar coming back.
First and foremost, let’s get something very clear here… Brock was never charged with anything illegal, nor is he implicated in this lawsuit. From whatever Vince claimed to be offering Brock for his 2021 contractual negotiations, he never made any physical contact with Janel nor can we ever spot them together. The evidence that appears to be in place is directly from discussions between Janel and Vince, in which Vince “demanded” that Janel create “personalized sexual content” for Brock and then have a “sexual encounter” with Brock who was going to be flown in to complete. Furthermore, from the texts that were between Vince and Janel, all we have is what is alleged from Vince that Brock said, not direct communications between Brock and Janel.
The text that Vince suggests from Brock reads, and I quote: ””Lol, that’s your turf!! She will be ruined after me and leave your ass! Plus after me your tool won’t fit anymore!!”
Again, that’s from Vince McMahon and if you read much of his texting with Janel Grant, it’s pure filth and manipulative. As a guy who has written Creative for wrestling shows for over 40 years, Vince could have made that up. We’re lacking documented communications directly from Brock Lesnar.
WWE’s legal team, who probably represents TKO and Endeavor, has reviewed the situation and cleared Lesnar BEFORE SummerSlam 2025 to return. You may laugh at that, but TKO is a publicly traded corporation and having a legal liability in your company presents massive risk. Hence why Vince McMahon was (a) listed as a “risk” in TKO’s pre-2024 financial statements and why (b) Vince was forced to resign from TKO’s board of directors during January 2024. So if you believe that TKO’s legal team is a sham, then why was Vince McMahon promptly removed when the lawsuit directed at his actions happened?
Do I believe Brock Lesnar did anything inappropriate? I just don’t see anything directly linking HIS actions and I’ve also seen Sable by his side several times in photos ever since the allegations were made. And Sable would know about allegations, as she’s made some herself about the WWE in the past.
Let’s be totally honest about Vince McMahon… He’s a sociopath. If he wasn’t a pro wrestling promoter, who knows how many bodies would be stacked up somewhere. Seriously… Vince has multiple personalities, the one you see in public and then the dastardly one who has repeatedly cheated on his wife in the past and the one committing sexual abuse or harassment at the office. In their heads, all kinds of fantasies are created and in the case of Vince’s, some of those have played out in a pro wrestling context while others are in the bedroom. In the case of Janel Grant, he found a willing participant from 2019 through early 2022 to fulfill his sexual fantasies which included fun for himself but also getting off on others getting involved. John Laurinaitis, also cut from that sociopath wool (but more “dead behind the eyes” than Vince) took that bait repeatedly from Vince while it appears Hayes and Lesnar did not.
At this point… You’re willing to trust the word of Vince McMahon, who is a serial cheater, has been accused of sexual assault and settled with said person, and has multiple NDAs for the past 25 years totaling around $20 million… Really?
I’m willing to bet that TKO and WWE have contacted Brock Lesnar and his lawyers multiple times, as they were gathering evidence themselves because WWE, which Endeavor owns through TKO, was named in the lawsuit. I guarantee that they asked Brock if he had any texts, emails, or phone call logs or messages related to Janel Grant. Why? Because they want NO SURPRISES in court when the lawsuit occurs or if/when discovery happens. Not wanting to burn the WWE bridge, as they’ve been a healthy source of income, along with not burning the TKO bridge, who owns UFC as well… Brock was likely forthcoming. I’m willing to bet that Vince has messaged Brock with several disgusting things, whether it was in gest or for real. No evidence is available that Brock ever hopped on the Vince trafficking train.
And remember, Janel Grant signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Vince McMahon and the WWE regarding her 2019-2022 tenure with the WWE along with agreeing to a $3 million settlement. Rather than filing any charges of being trafficked or abused by Vince, along with making any allegations public, she took the money. Plus, based on the love letters and other documentation presented by WWE’s legal team, there was some legitimate love from Janel for Vince. Did she want to be passed around like a football? No… Things got out of hand and now she’s suing Vince McMahon for violating the terms of their settlement, to which Vince is alleging she breached the settlement by informing a friend about their relationship (friend told the WWE Board of Directors during April 2022, which began this story).
At most from what we can see, Brock’s main crimes are knowing what a sexual deviant that Vince McMahon was but probably as far as he could see or hear, he probably thought it was consensual for what was happening. Remember who Brock is married to… Sable, aka Rena Mero or now Rena Lesnar. Sable filed a big lawsuit against the WWE for various forms of harassment. I would think that he would suspect wrongdoing from Vince versus Vince just being freaky with his lady friend. Let’s make no mistake about it, Janel thought she was in a real relationship and accepted employment terms and promotions from the WWE Corporation per her relationship with Vince. Granted, it turned out that Vince was abusive and thus Vince individually should pay for that (and he has).
AGAIN, Vince McMahon is a sociopath and would likely lie to someone to fulfill a weird fantasy. Until we have direct communications from Brock or any actions by Brock, you have to clear him…
The anger needs to be aimed at Vince McMahon, not anyone he invited to his game. Brock Lesnar and Michael PS Hayes were invited, but they didn’t hop on the ride. John Laurinaitis did and he’s ruined and deserves to be ruined… John lost his WWE job, lost his marriage (and probably his fortune), and now he’s making an arse of himself by flipping and flopping between which legal side he’s on, whether it’s Vince McMahon, the feds (who backed off), or Janel Grant’s legal team. He’s the kind of pond scum that willingly plays Vince McMahon’s game, while Lesnar and Hayes did not want to hop on the merry-go-round.
It would be like if I offered you Crack Cocaine to smoke with me… Just because I offered it to you, doesn’t make you a drug user. Now, if I can show that you smoked it with me, of course, you are a crackhead along with me… But if I offer it and you either tell me “no”, don’t respond, or if there’s zero proof that you smoked crack with me, who can accuse you? Janel Grant’s lawsuit only shows that Brock Lesnar was offered something and Vince McMahon, not Brock, relayed what Brock may or may not have said.
So for you, Morality Squad, to attack the sponsors over THIS is quite idiotic, outrageous, and unfair to a WWE company who fired Vince and did their due diligence on Brock. Again, Hayes has been working for the WWE for 18 months since the lawsuit allegations were posted and you’ve done or said NOTHING to sponsors.
Furthermore, Brock Lesnar isn’t the only “bad actor” that the WWE, let alone TKO, has ever employed.
For one, you had Vince McMahon… How can you call yourself a “moral” wrestling fan by supporting Vince McMahon’s entirety of his WWE run? Good lord, if we just go through the late 1990s, he’s alleged of doing some unsavory stuff while covering up transgressions of others. Admitted cheater, steroid scandal, ring boys scandal, female referee scandal, Jimmy Snuka allegations, and onward. Vince said the N-Word on a Pay Per View… He made female performers do all kinds of stuff during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. Kiss-My-Ass Club, Katie Vick… Looking the other way about concussions and getting looser on performance enhancer abuse until it all came to a head with Chris Benoit during June 2007.
You were watching WWE with ALL OF THAT CRAP going on…
For Endeavor/TKO, they literally have UFC President Dana White slapping his wife at an event and he’s still employed.
Hulk Hogan just passed away… May he rest in peace, but he’s on video repeatedly using the N-word. To WWE’s credit they kept him off television for 3 years and were careful using him afterward… But they still employed him.
I could literally get into piles of legal issues and questionable storylines…
But you’ve endured ALL OF IT as wrestling fans… However, the return of Brock Lesnar has set you off and caused you to contact WWE’s sponsors. Just him…
I really want to ask you this one question, Morality Squad: WHERE DO YOU FIND THE TIME?!?!?
Seriously, where do you find the time to be outraged so often? I’d love to know how to free-up some of my time. Because for me, I’m working 5 days per week, sometimes more than that and sometimes beyond the normal workday for hours. I’ve got a family, too, along with other hobbies or passions. For these columns, I’m writing them during the early mornings, lunchbreaks, or very late at night… Such as today when I wrote my John Cena column during the early morning before I began work and I’ve written this very column during my lunch time and other breaks when I could take them. Seriously, where do you find the time to complain all day on social media, protest any little thing, or to be angry all day? That cannot be good for your heart and mental health to be so angry and outraged all day long…
Let’s assume that your threats made to Slim Jim, Minute Maid, and other sponsors are successful…
What then? That means that WWE and TKO have lost revenue streams. What do you assume will happen? Well, that’s lesser revenue coming in… Thus WWE and TKO have two options… Find other revenue streams, which could be impacted by this reputational harm caused by losing sponsors… But then WWE and TKO will either raise prices further to offset lost revenue or they’ll cut costs. And when I say cut costs, they’ll CUT WRESTLERS OR THEIR SALARIES/BONUSES/ROYALTIES. Do you want your favorite wrestlers to lose their jobs? How about all of that backstage, truck driving, or office employees? Do you want them to become unemployed too because of your actions attacking sponsors?
Because you’re pissed off at Brock Lesnar returning, that should financially harm all of the employees of the WWE and the independent contractor wrestlers working for the company?
Bro, that’s dark…
And what do you want Brock Lesnar to do by being permanently CANCELLED due to committing zero illegal crimes? Is he not allowed to work at all? Let’s say he couldn’t work in pro wrestling and tries to get hired at McDonalds. Well, is he not allowed to work there because he was offered to be in Vince McMahon’s sex trafficking? Does he have to live in a cage and be completely unable to show his face in public? Unable to work at all? WHERE DO YOU DRAW THE LINE?!?
Maybe Brock could run for President? After all, most of you look the other way regarding transgressions for anyone running for office lately. And I say that about both sides, so don’t get your political underwear in bunches… Two presidents, representing both political parties, are documented to be hanging out with a very questionable guy on multiple occasions.
Do you see how STUPID this situation is? If you don’t like Brock Lesnar returning, then just TURN YOUR TELEVISION OFF. That is how you can truly help yourself settle down from the outrage of Lesnar’s return. However, you want the thrill of damaging a publicly traded corporation, who employs thousands of people and presents multiplier effects to arenas and towns whenever WWE hosts an event. Like WWE or not, they are making others revenue and helping to sustain or grow jobs elsewhere by being a thriving travelling business.
You are willing to HARM OTHER PEOPLE by attacking sponsors over 1 wrestler’s return. A wrestler who was named in a lawsuit by someone suing Vince McMahon and the WWE only, not Brock Lesnar. And again, no crimes have been committed by Lesnar, nor does he have a past history of conducting any sexual games like Vince. As far as we can see, he’s been an upstanding citizen and a loving husband to Sable for a few decades now.
Why don’t you save energy screaming online and fly to Canada to ask Sable how she feels about these Vince McMahon allegations that have pulled at her husband? Why not? Ask Sable if she believes that her husband participated in any of Vince’s sexual games? You know, that Sable who sued the WWE for harassment and isn’t welcome to ever be mentioned on WWE television nor inducted into their Hall of Fame. Yeah, THAT lady who hasn’t flinched and is still with Brock Lesnar.
LOOK, if more information is presented on Brock Lesnar that implicates him further in initiating something with Janel and if other past incidents are presented on Brock, I could easily change my tune. But if relaying Vince McMahon’s words is all that you have on Brock, I’m struggling to believe the sociopath in this instance. Plus, again, the same WWE/TKO lawyers who reviewed Vince McMahon and sent him home packing during January 2024 for his behavior have cleared Brock Lesnar for his alleged involvement by Janel’s lawsuit.
Your moral outrage here is just not justified… You’ve got details from a messy lawsuit on Vince McMahon and that’s it. No outrage towards Michael PS Hayes who was offered the same “content” from Vince McMahon, too.
You’re a bunch of clowns that are trying to ruin the WWE product and get off on harming a publicly traded corporation.
And if you take down the WWE/TKO Corporation, then you better look at ALL corporations. Trust me, they all have Human Resource issues that they’ve had to manage, create settlements, and non-disclosure agreements. Leadership at the top is full of testosterone and people bond at the workplace. Almost 1% of Americans are currently incarcerated while about 1 out of 5 Americans have some sort of arrest history (18%). So do the math for what could be at a workplace at any given time… Then, factor in about HALF of first-time marriages end in divorce and a good portion of that is from infidelity, often times induced from a relationship formed at work.
Why aren’t you going after OTHER corporation’s sponsors?
Do you see the ridiculous rabbit hole that you’re jumping down?
And I’m NOT defending the allegations of Brock Lesnar, though I believe many online are amplifying what he’s been accused of in a lawsuit. But I think the REAL CRIMINAL is Vince McMahon with a history of sexual abuse and harassment, financial statements fraud, and many settlements to cover up bad workplace behavior. Focus in on HIM instead of who he offered to join his sick little game.
But Vince McMahon is gone from WWE and TKO… They held HIM accountable, while likely legally reviewing Brock Lesnar and Michael PS Hayes. They found nothing on those 2 guys, but have CLEARLY wanted to do nothing with John Laurinaitis who said “yes” to Vince McMahon’s games multiple times.
Do you see how easy that is? Looking at actual credible evidence, making logical decisions, and then reducing your outrage to let someone, who hasn’t committed any crimes or joined sex rings, to earn an actual living.
If more information comes out on Brock Lesnar, I reserve my right to change my opinion…
As of today (8/5/25), I’m OK with Brock’s WWE return because he was just offered the bait but bite despite the sick fisherman (Vince McMahon) dangling it in front of him.
TKO and WWE has a lot to lose by getting the Brock Lesnar return wrong. Trust me, they performed their due diligence because otherwise, they are putting themselves at risk for liability, reputational harm, and lost revenue by bringing a major risk back to their company.
If you don’t like Brock Lesnar’s return, then turn OFF your television, stop attending events, cancel your Peacock subscription, and stop buying merchandise. Take yourself out of the game and that will make you personally happy. Attacking sponsors harms many, many innocent bystanders including within the company and the sponsor trying to reach a wider audience for their products.
And if you don’t like my opinions on this matter, then don’t read my column! See how easy it is to cut off the outrage and the personal anger that you’re enduring? Geesh!
Funny how we go from this extreme in attacking sponsors, following the heels of “fans” attacking and threatening Chelsea Green for showing some appreciation for Hulk Hogan’s wrestling (but not political or controversial) contributions to pro wrestling.
