Former WWE star comments on potentially working with the company again in a backstage role

Shortly after Wrestlemania 38 in 2022, there was a push for WWE to add more producers due to the large amount of workload. Several wrestlers were brought in for probationary roles including former WWE star Joe Hennig aka Curtis Axel. However, Hennig stopped being used due to what was reported as “budget cuts.”

While speaking to Going Ringside, Hennig commented on potentially returning to WWE in a backstage role…

“That’s something that’s still on the table. I could go back there and do that and help out. I really like coaching the next up-and-comers. It’s very rewarding to give my insight to them and have these different ideas that we can collaborate on to make the match even better. I really enjoyed that part and just being a part of the creative side. It was pretty cool.” (quote courtesy of RingsideNews.com)
