What happened during Swerve Strickland’s segment at the 2024 AEW WrestleDream PPV event

At AEW WrestleDream 2024, Prince Nana introduced Swerve Strickland in Swerve’s first appearance since the All Out PPV event. Swerve announced that he was medically cleared to wrestle again. MVP and Shelton Benjamin quickly interrupted Swerve’s promo.

MVP brought up how Swerve’s career has been floundering as of late and wanted to talk business. Swerve admitted that what MVP said was true but came to Nana’s defense and referred to Nana as family. Swerve turned down MVP’s offer and Benjamin said they weren’t asking. Officials came down to the ring and separated everyone. Swerve’s music played and he hugged Nana.
