What is being said about a potential Gunther vs. Bill Goldberg match in WWE

As seen during the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE, world heavyweight champion Gunther was involved in a promo segment with WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg. While speaking at the event’s post-show press conference, Paul “Triple H” Levesque used the “never say never” line in regards to Goldberg having one more match.

At this time, it’s unknown if a Goldberg vs. Gunther match will happen. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about the situation…

“One would normally think Saudi Arabia since Goldberg’s deal was getting $2 million for matches there, but Gunther is facing [Cody] Rhodes. The only thing we were told is that Gunther vs. Goldberg right now isn’t scheduled for Survivor Series or WrestleMania, but the Mania card doesn’t appear to have been made although October is usually around when they start working on it.”

Earlier this year, Goldberg said he is 100% open to having one more wrestling match.
