Results of Ethan Page vs. Trick Williams on WWE NXT with CM Punk as the special guest referee

In the main event of WWE NXT’s premiere on the CW Network, Ethan Page defended the NXT world title against Trick Williams with CM Punk as the special guest referee.

Punk called the match down the middle and even helped both men up at one point so it could reach a finish. Page got mad about Punk’s counting and hit a GTS but Williams was able to kick out. Williams then avoided an Ego’s Edge and pinned Page with a Trick Shot knee to win the title.

Punk gave Page a GTS after the match ended.
