Former WWE star addresses “misconception” from the Vince McMahon docuseries regarding Owen Hart’s death

The Netflix docuseries about former WWE owner Vince McMahon premiered on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 with comments from Vince that were made prior to his 2022 “hush money” scandal that led to his “retirement” from WWE.

One of the topics discussed in the docuseries was the death of Owen Hart. Former WWE star The Blue Meanie published a video on Facebook along with the following comments…

“There’s a misconception I saw in the ‘Mr. McMahon’ docuseries that when Owen Hart died and at Over The Edge, the show went on that his blood was in the ring. It wasn’t his blood. On Sunday Night Heat (now called ‘Heat’ on Peacock) Goldust and I wrestled the Hardy’s with Michael Hayes in their corner. After the match, there was a blood bath on the Hardy’s. Matt Hardy put his “bloodied” arm on the Matt coincidentally, where Owen would later fall, and it stayed there the remainder of the show. I know it doesn’t make his loss hurt any less. But the docu series jarred that memory loose and I felt compelled to talk about it during ‘Mornings With Meanie’ yesterday on AdFreeShows and this Monday on Mind Of The Meanie.”
