Sami Zayn calls out the “idiotic, bigoted comments” directed at Olympic boxer Imane Khelif
Olympic boxing fight between Italian boxer Angela Carini and Algeria’s Imane Khelif ended after just 46 seconds last Thursday. The match drew controversy at the Paris Olympics since Khelif was one of two boxers permitted to fight at the games despite being disqualified from the women’s world championships in 2023 for failing testosterone and gender eligibility tests. It was noted by The Hollywood Reporter that Khelif is believed to have a medical condition called Differences of Sexual Development (DSD) where a person is raised and identifies as female but has XY chromosomes that leads to blood testosterone levels in the male range.
In a post via Twitter/X, former WWE United States champion Logan Paul referred to the story as “the purest form of evil” but then deleted it. This week, Sami Zayn gave his opinion on people criticizing Khelif…
“Big ups to the Muslim sister Imane Khelif who advanced in the Olympics today to box for the gold medal after facing a swarm of the most idiotic, bigoted comments I’ve ever seen an Olympic athlete face. Inshallah she wins the big one & the bitchasses online get the help they need.”
