There is reportedly a “mystery slot” for somebody at WWE Wrestlemania 40

It was previously reported that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and John Cena will potentially be making appearances at WWE Wrestlemania 40 although nothing is official.

As seen during the March 25th 2024 edition of RAW, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson attacked Cody Rhodes at the end of the broadcast. While Rock was attacking Cody, a WWE production truck was seen in the background that included images of Austin and Cena. In regards to the speculation about Austin and/or Cena getting involved in Cody’s match against Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 40, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com wrote the following…

“Time will tell, but we were told not to read into that regarding the main events. There is said to be a mystery slot, but whether that mystery is Cena or somebody else is not known.”

Earlier this week, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted that WWE “made an overture” for Austin to appear at Wrestlemania although there was no word on a specific role.
