There are reportedly people within WWE that expect Andrade El Idolo to return to the company

In the spring of 2023, Andrade El Idolo stated that his contract with AEW “will expire very soon“ but he did not provide an exact date. Heading into 2024, there continues to be speculation about Andrade’s status and while speaking to press at a CMLL event last week, Andrade said he has a lot of open doors in 2024 and isn’t sure which one he’ll choose.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com noted the following about he situation…

“I do know that those in WWE expect him to return. I also know those close to him who say that he may very well go back but is also open to stay if Tony Khan makes a better offer than WWE. He would also like to work New Japan and would have wanted to do FantasticaMania in February but it conflicts with his schedule.”

Andrade is married to Charlotte Flair and she reportedly agreed to a multi-year contract extension with WWE. Charlotte was in attendance for his recent CMLL appearance.
