John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa took place at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE. Here are the highlights…

* Cena targeted the Samoan Spike hand of Solo in the early moments but then Solo got the upper hand with a series of headbutts. Cena was able to avoid the Spike but Solo quickly regained the upper hand. Cena avoided another Spike attempt and applied an STF but Solo escaped.

* Solo continued to punish Cena until Cena got his second wind. Cena hit his signature five knuckle shuffle but Solo was able to counter the AA with a Samoan Drop.

* Cena regained momentum but targeting the arm again and came off the top with a crossbody but Solo kicked out. Solo countered another AA attempt and hit the spinning Solo but Cena kicked out. Cena blocked the Spike and reapplied the STF. Solo escaped again and managed to hit the Spike but couldn’t make the cover. Solo hit two more spikes but didn’t go for the cover. Solo then hit multiple more spikes and finally pinned Cena.

* After Solo left, the crowd gave Cena a standing ovation and he waved goodbye to the fans. The crowd erupted in a “thank you Cena” chant.
