Results of Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight at WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE

Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight for the Unified WWE Universal title took place at the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 PLE. Here are the highlights…

* Fans all over the arena were holding up Knight signs as he made his entrance.

* Knight started off hot but Reigns quickly gained the upper hand and used Knight’s taunt. Knight fought back but then Paul Heyman provided a distraction to help Reigns get out of the ring. Knight went right after Reigns and the two brawled on the outside. Reigns took control and sent Knight into the steel steps.

* Reigns worked over Knight for several minutes and there was a “CM Punk” chant at one point. Knight finally made a comeback and started to build momentum. Knight went for his elbow but Reigns caught him with a superman punch. Knight avoided a spear and delivered a superplex followed by his elbow.

* Solo Sikoa came down to ringside and Jimmy Uso helped out Reigns while the referee was distracted. Reigns hit the spear to Knight but Knight kicked out. Reigns applied his guillotine submission but Knight escaped after several attempts. Knight hit the BFT but Jimmy put Reigns’ foot on the bottom rope. Knight went after Jimmy on the outside of the ring. Jimmy was put through the announce table by Knight but then Reigns speared Knight through the barricade.

* Reigns got Knight back in the ring and won with the spear. Michael Cole called it “the same old story” on commentary.
