Corey Graves trends on social media after seemingly making a reference to CM Punk on WWE Smackdown

As previously noted, AEW terminated the contract of CM Punk following his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In PPV event. There are rumors of Punk making a return to WWE as soon as the 2023 Survivor Series PLE in his hometown of Chicago, IL.

During the October 6th 2023 edition of Smackdown, the WWE Fastlane PLE matches were hyped up and Corey Graves said the following over the graphics for Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura…

“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making the world forget that he existed.”

That line was used by CM Punk during his time with ROH and “Corey Graves” became a trending topic on Twitter/X. Some fans on social media believe that WWE has been subtly teasing Punk’s return. Last month, Cody Rhodes said that Jey Uso is “one of the very best in the world and deserves a second chance.” In a recent promo, Seth Rollins said “my 100% makes me the best in the world.” This past Monday on RAW, Michael Cole seemingly made a reference to another CM Punk ROH promo.
