WWE reportedly had creative plans for Eric Young to be involved with Bray Wyatt earlier in 2023

As previously noted, Eric Young asked for his release from WWE in April of 2023 and it was granted. Young returned to Impact Wrestling at the 2023 Slammiversary PPV.

According to Fightful Select, WWE actually had creative plans for Young at one point earlier in the year. The site noted the following…

“Young was to be involved in a new-style version of the Wyatt Family with both Bray Wyatt and Bo Dallas, who had been portraying Uncle Howdy on WWE TV. We’re told the creative plans were set in January, and would have kicked off after Wrestlemania.”

Wyatt ended up being sidelined with an undisclosed illness before anything was able to happen with Young.
