Brock Lesnar reportedly nixed at least one pitched opponent for WWE Wrestlemania 39

During the February 27th 2023 edition of WWE RAW, Brock Lesnar vs. Omos was made official for WWE Wrestlemania 39. It’s believed that Omos was not the first choice to be Lesnar’s opponent for Wrestlemania as Steve Austin reportedly turned down an offer and Lesnar vs. Gunther was also rumored for the show.

According to Fightful Select, a reason was not given as to why WWE did not book Lesnar vs. Gunther for Wrestlemania. The outlet mentioned that both Bobby Lashley and Bray Wyatt were also considered for Lesnar at the event and Fightful noted the following…

“We’re not sure necessarily when Bray Wyatt was pitched as a possible opponent for WrestleMania, but he was mentioning it as recently as right before WWE Elimination Chamber. Sources familiar with the situation claim that Brock himself nixed the idea, though we weren’t given specifics as to why.”
