Drew McIntyre vs. Karrion Kross in a strap match took place at WWE Extreme Rules 2022. Here are the highlights…

* Before the bell rang, McIntyre put on the strap but Kross threw his end down. Scarlett grabbed Kross’ end of the strap and Kross attacked McIntyre. The two ended up brawling into the crowd. They ended up back by the ring and McIntyre suplexed Kross on the floor. McIntyre then gave Kross a sidewalk slam onto the apron. McIntyre rolled Kross back into the ring and attached the strap to Kross.

* With both men strapped, the bell finally rang and McIntyre whipped Kross repeatedly. A distraction from Scarlett allowed Kross to gain the upper hand again. Kross drove McIntyre shoulder-first into the post. Kross whipped McIntyre repeatedly as Scarlett screamed for Kross to keep delivering the punishment.

* McIntyre was able to make a comeback. The two traded blows and there was a hockey fight. The two traded shots with the strap and McIntyre got the upper hand. McIntyre hit the future shock DDT and went for the claymore but Scarlett got into the ring. Scarlett sprayed McIntyre in the eyes with pepper spray and Kross then pinned McIntyre with a Kross hammer to win the match.
