During the August 16th 2022 Heatwave Edition of WWE NXT 2.0, Tony D’Angelo defeated Santos Escobar in a street fight. As per the match’s stipulation, Escobar is now banned from NXT.
Fans on social media have been speculating that Escobar will be called up to the WWE main roster. Escobar first signed to WWE in 2019 and debuted on the NXT brand in early 2020.
