Backstage news regarding Karrion Kross and Scarlett returning to WWE

As seen during the August 5th 2022 edition of WWE Smackdown, Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) returned to the company when he attacked Drew McIntyre and had a stare-down with unified Universal champion Roman Reigns.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com wrote the following regarding the duo’s return to WWE…

“PWInsider.com is told that after the pair were released last year, there was regular communication between them and WWE so the change in power worked in their favor.”

Kross and Scarlett have been officially added to WWE’s internal Smackdown roster. Johnson noted that Kross will be positioned as the number two heel on Smackdown after Roman Reigns. Scarlett will be managing Kross and isn’t expected to be wrestling on a regular basis but that could always change.

It’s believed that Kross and Scarlett will fulfill their remaining independent wrestling appearances as much as possible.
