Linda McMahon called out after showing support for Roe v. Wade being overturned
On Friday morning, the United States Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe v. Wade — the 1973 ruling that guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights. Vince McMahon’s wife Linda wrote the following on Twitter regarding the news…
“Today is a historic day! After decades of fighting for innocent lives, the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade. Now, the decision of abortion will be returned to the states, where our pro-life fight will continue! #RoeVsWade”
McMahon’s Tweet ended up being “ratioed” with more quote retweets than likes. Twitter user @MattBinder pointed out that Linda tweeted about being pro-choice in 2012 during her run for Senate. During a 2012 debate, McMahon said the following…
“I am pro-choice candidate, that has not wavered. I am a woman, I have a daughter, I have three granddaughters. I don’t want to take any action that will be harmful for them relative to their health choices.”
