Stephanie McMahon taking a leave of absence from the “majority” of her WWE responsibilities
On Thursday afternoon, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon made the following announcement via Twitter…
“As of tomorrow, I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE. WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.com wrote the following…
“WWE employees I’ve heard from found out about Stephanie’s leave of absence when she tweeted it.”
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, it appears that only Stephanie’s inner circle knew about the announcement and several others within the company were “completely shocked” about the news. Johnson added that there is no time table for her return.
Stephanie had been working for WWE full-time since graduating college.
