Wrestle Review: Incredible Reign(s)
Roman Reigns surpassed 600 days as WWE Universal Champion this week. That is an absurd statistic! I can see his reign going past 1,000. Bret Hart is believed to have signed a new deal with WWE. Interesting since the Owen Hart Cup is in progress in AEW. Nice little family feud that”s been going on for years.
Punk/Rhodes Wednesday was incredible! The outcome was known as soon as the match was announced but you knew it’d be a banger. And that staredown between Punk and Page! They’re match at Double Or Nothing should be outstanding!
Will AEW ever do a trios title like many have wondered about over the years? They definitely have plenty of options: Blackpool Combat Club, Best Friends(if they stay together), Undisputed Elite, House of Black, Dustin could start a trio with some of his students.
“Gypsy King” Tyson Fury retired after defeating Dilian Whyte. That usually would not be on my radar except for the fact that there’d been chatter of him being at SummerSlam. Actually, I believe he alluded to it. Now he’s retired from boxing. Perhaps it will happen. We shall see.
That’s all I got this weekend. Thanks for reading! As always, feel free to give a listen and review of my podcast, Blendertainment, available wherever you get your podcasts. Enjoy wrestling!
