TNA Wresting’s new television deal with AMC and what this could mean for the brand

So the big moment that TNA has been teasing all year has finally happened. TNA now has a new TV deal on a major cable network for the first time since the Spike TV days, and while it’s not in the same ballpark money-wise as what AEW has gotten for its TV rights, they still managed to secure a multi-year deal worth around $30 million. That isn’t bad at all for a company that barely had a presence on television in 2025.

But what could this mean for the company as a whole?

First of all, getting a big influx of money will allow them to run more live shows on Thursdays, which is a huge plus. Having a live weekly show is pivotal in today’s wrestling landscape if you want to grow your audience.

It also means they will have more money to pay talent and either keep some of their key players or sign a few new names away from other companies.

It also means they will have enough money to book bigger arenas, especially for PPVs, which will help them grow the brand and potentially secure an even better TV deal when this current one expires.

Finally, and most importantly, it’s going to help them expand their audience. Personally, I’m glad they decided to stay on Thursdays—even though the show will now start an hour later—because that means most weeks they will continue to run unopposed and grow their fanbase. That way, when AEW occasionally moves Collision to Thursdays, TNA will be ready for the competition and maybe even able to give them a run for their money.

You also have to take into consideration that the NXT/TNA relationship is expected to continue. That means they’ll get a better platform for their product on Thursdays while also getting added exposure on The CW on Tuesdays, which is going to be even more beneficial for them.

In the end, if you’re a TNA fan like I am, this is absolutely great news for the brand. And if this brings back an era where multiple companies are fighting to be the top alternative, that’s even better—it will only push both AEW and TNA to deliver a stronger product for the fans.
