The X-Factor: Royal Rumble 2026 predictions
Of course we’re not exactly pleased one of the Big 5 is in Saudi Arabia, but it’s also the Royal Rumble and the official start on the road to Las Vegas, again.
Still, them building an outdoor stadium in such a short time is impressive.
WrestleMania 42 is something of an open book. Let’s see how the first chapters will be written.
WWE Championship
Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre (C)
Come on, as much as this is a redemption for the Scottish guy for 2020, you want Sami to win it all, but you’ll also say, “it should be LA Knight” or some other internet darling.
Either way, Drew’s smugness will eventually bite him in the ass. I’ll wager they’ll have a fairly long match before McIntyre pulls a fast one and escapes with the gold.
Winner: Drew McIntyre
AJ Styles vs. Gunther
Not sure if I care for Gunther’s new reputation as a “career killer”, yet they say you gotta reinvent yourself to make it. They could book it so Gunther doesn’t lose heat while keeping AJ’s career going as he deserves at least a WrestleMania match. There’s also the TNA thing.
A “Dusty finish” could be in the cards.
Winner: AJ Styles
Women’s Royal Rumble
The potential for surprises – and full body outfits – is pretty high.
First off, no way it’s Becky Lynch – whose deluded heel I don’t care for – as she’ll carry her IC title until Reliant Stadium. Charlotte Flair’s got a good thing going with Alexa Bliss. Rhea Ripley’s a solid maybe, and she and Iyo Sky have caught on as a team.
If Bianca Belair’s coming back, they’ll be setting up her up with Jade Cargill. They must really like her to give her this much time off, and she’s a slight runner up pick.
Liv Morgan’s more than paid her dues, and if Finn’s attack on CM Punk was just a bait and switch, they’ll could start building up a Judgment Day civil war. The potential for WrestleMania matches is real here.
Winner: Liv Morgan
2nd choice: Bianca Belair
Men’s Royal Rumble
Ok now, where to begin? With how big he is there’s no way Cody Rhodes isn’t getting a marquee match in Vegas, but is it a title bout? What about possible challengers like Damian Priest, Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, and Randy Orton? Who’s CM Punk gonna battle in April?
There’s also the Brock Lesnar thing, and fingers crossed we finally get that Dominik Mysterio match we missed out on two years ago.
I’m sure Finn Balor won’t be too upset and take out one of the entrants to steal their spot. Could they be setting up the Judgment Day’s end? Maybe the return of the Balor Club?
We all know who the favorite is. Roman Reigns presence set up something big, and if a turn for Cody Rhodes is looming, this would be the place to start the ball rolling.
Winner: Roman Reigns
2nd pick: Bron Breakker
Well then, let’s wait and see huh?
Don’t mess with the X.
