Episode 14 – #WWERAW @ MSG REVIEW! WRESTLEMANIA IS SHAPING UP!

WWE returned “home” to MSG, the mecca of sports entertainment. A not so hot opener set the pace of the night, with Jey Uso having himself a competitive battle with Grayson Waller. Thankfully, a dominant Gunther made a showing after Uso won, making it less of a snoozer.

Raquel Rodriguez, Tag Team Champion, defeated main eventer, Bayley to become the number one contender for the midcard Women’s Intercontinental Title. Does this make sense? No? WWE – please get a writer on each brand for the midcard women. We’re begging you!

Rhea Ripley interjected herself in a Bianca/IYO promo, where Rhea blamed Bianca Belair for her Women’s World Championship title loss to IYO. IYO was pushed to the back like an afterthought, so she decided a good face slapping would get their attention, and it did.

In what seems like MSG tradition, the main event was a steel (what else would it be) cage match. CM Punk took on bitter enemy Seth ‘Not Freakin’ Anymore’ Rollins. It was a slow start but ended up being a great set up for an Original Tribal Chief return. Roman Reigns yanked Seth out of the ring, which gave Seth the win. However, the beatdown Seth received from Roman after the fact probably wasn’t worth it. A worried Paul Heyman decided to console his friend CM Punk in the ring, which caught the attention of Roman Reigns who did NOT like that one bit. Roman gave Punk his own beat down, in what seems to be another WrestleMania triple threat set up.
