Episode 4 – Fingerpod Of Doom (Goldberg becoming World Heavyweight Champion?)
Fingerpod of Doom passed along the following…
*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*
Fingerpod Of Doom
Episode 4 – SMACKDOWN! GENESIS! RAW REVIEW!
We start off by going over last Friday’s SmackDown (January 19/2025) and discuss Wade Barrett and Joe Tessitore introducing us to the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA, USA – the hometown of Superstars Rey Mysterio Jr. and Bayley. (Ignore Bones saying San Jose, oops)
We question if Botox is in involved, but more importantly, Rey Mysterio declaring himself for the Royal Rumble and Kevin Owens making his presence felt (and also how great the shirt KO was wearing was).
Some time is spent on Bianca BelAir and Naomi, with a little wishful thinking of how Jade Cargill could jump back in and create havoc between the three ladies. Nia Jax and Candice LaRae did some teaming up to take on the Women’s Tag Team Champions and how it didn’t go so well for Nia and Candice, even if Nia is a comedic genius.
Jimmy Uso vs. Carmello Hayes gets our attention, only because the best part of The Bloodline, Jacob Fatu was involved. Yes, Tama Tonga was there, as well as the strange duo of LA Knight and Jacob’s upcoming SNME opponent, Braun Strowman.
We sped over the rest of SmackDown until we get to the master heel class that Kevin Owens put on when he faced Rey Mysterio (and won). The main event of Bayley and Tiffany Stratton, the WWE Women’s Champion does cause a little discussion of if the match could have been booked better.
TNA Genesis gets some time in Episode 4, and we go over the stand out matches and moments.
Our big finale of Episode 4 is our discussion of RAW from Dallas, TX, USA. Bones keeps up with his prediction of Goldberg becoming World Heavyweight Champion and believing he’s going to get involved in the Jey Uso vs. Gunther match at SNME. It sounds like Andrew hates the idea of anything Goldberg, especially when it comes to beating Gunther.
You’ll hear just how unhappy we are about JBL being used in the Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods) vs. Rey Mysterio match and being wasted as special guest commentator for the match. Yikes!
KO and Sami Zayn get some time together in the ring, and we completely believe it was planting many seeds for the future.
Bayley gets traded to RAW and fights Nia Jax for the 39th time (just an estimate!) Thankfully we got a REVPRO mention for the Pete Dunne vs. Penta match, which kind of saved the middle of the show.
CM Punk blasting Hogan and Pure Fusion Collective taking on Damage CTRL fill some time before the main event, Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre wake everyone up, a match which we think delivered. Drew losing the match is a hot topic of discussion, but could it turn into something more? Tune in to find out.
