WWE Wrestlemania 39 news items regarding Ronda Rousey, Rey vs. Dominik, and ticket sales

WWE Wrestlemania 39 weekend is now just a week away. Here are some news items regarding the two-night event via Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com…

* While an angle to set up Rey vs. Dominik Mysterio could take place during the March 24th 2023 edition of Smackdown or the Hall of Fame ceremony, Meltzer wrote that WWE “discussed the idea of shooting the angle for the match on night one and then having the match at night two.”

* Ronda Rousey is still scheduled for the show at this point despite having a fractured arm. In regards to Rousey and Shayna Baszler not challenging for the women’s tag team titles, Meltzer noted that “the feeling is why throw on a Wrestlemania title match when you can’t really build it effectively right now.”

* Both nights of Wrestlemania now have over 62,000 tickets distributed with more sections being opened up. Both RAW and Smackdown in Los Angeles are expected to be sold-out shows. NXT Stand and Deliver has around 6,700 tickets distributed which is above what last year’s show in Dallas drew.
