WWE stars AJ Styles and Iyo Sky make their wrestling returns to Japan

Over the weekend, WWE stars AJ Styles and Iyo Sky make their wrestling returns to Japan as the company continues to build relationships with other promotions. Just prior to his match, Styles said the following to the media…

“I think this is showing the Triple H era of what WWE is all about. That just goes to show what Triple H is trying to bring throughout the world and WWE, whether it be in NOAH or somewhere else. Having the opportunity to wrestle there is big for everybody, and it just shows how we were willing and able to work together so that we all can make pro wrestling as big as we possibly can.” (quote courtesy of Colin Tessier)

AJ Styles had a match against Naomichi Marufuji in the co-main event of Pro Wrestling Noah’s Destination event on Saturday in Budokan Hall. Styles ended up victorious with the Styles Clash.

As for Iyo Sky, she wrestled against Utami Hayashishita at Marigold Summer Destiny. Iyo won the match with a tombstone piledriver following by her moonsault.
