Full WWE Smackdown results (spoilers) for August 30th 2024 from Berlin, Germany

The August 30th 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown took place in Berlin, Germany and aired on tape delay in the United States. Here are the spoilers…

* Michael Cole and Wade Barrett were the commentators.

* United States champion LA Knight came to the ring for a promo. Knight issued his open challenge and it was answered by Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser spoke in German and put over his home country. Kaiser vowed to turn the United States championship into the European championship. The live crowd chanted “Ludwig Kaiser.” LA Knight referred to Kaiser as Gunther’s stooge and accepted the match.

* LA Knight defeated Ludwig Kaiser in a competitive match. Kaiser was unable to win the Kaiser roll and Knight picked up the victory with a BFT. The crowd was largely behind Kaiser and even booed Knight at times.

* A Randy Orton vs. Gunther video package aired.

* Los Garza (Angel and Berto) of Legado Del Fantasma defeated Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews. Corbin and Crews had early momentum but Los Garza took control during the break. Corbin got the hog tag and cleaned house. Crews tagged back in and things broke down. Electra Lopez distracted the referee and Corbin was sent into the steel steps. Los Garza double teamed Crews and scored the win.

* There was a video promo from Solo Sikoa to hype up The Bloodline vs. DIY and the Street Profits on next week’s Smackdown. Sikoa gloated about what they did to Roman Reigns and said he was coming after the winner of Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens.

* Smackdown general manager Nick Aldis showed highlights from WWE’s European tour leading up to Bash in Berlin. Aldis then brought WWE Universal champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to the ring.

* Owens asked if Cody wanted to talk about hurting his knee during the European tour and Cody responded by saying his knee was fine. Cody asked if Owens had considered hitting him with the title on last week’s show. Owens said he didn’t need to take a cheap shot and brought up Cody having a bad knee again. Cody brought up his role in wrestling’s recent revolution and felt that Owens was angry about not getting enough credit for it. Cody asked if they will still be friends if Owens loses at Bash in Berlin. Owens threw down the mic, whispered something to Cody, and stormed out of the ring.

* Backstage, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory confronted Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews. Waller’s comments led to things getting heated between him and Theory. Theory felt that things were falling apart between them but Waller calmed him down.

* Carmelo defeated Andrade in another back and forth match between them that went through two commercial breaks. Andrade got sent face-first into an exposed turnbuckle and Carmelo then won with his Nothin’ But Net finisher. Cole teased that the feud is “far from over” now that Andrade and Carmelo are 2-2.

* In the main event, Nia Jax defeated Michin in a street fight to retain her women’s title. Michin tried to introduce a table but Nia slid it back under the ring. Michin used a fire extinguisher to gain the advantage. Michin set up a table in the ring and managed to powerbomb Nia out of the corner through it. Tiffany Stratton ran down and attacked Michin with her Money in the Bank briefcase. Tiffany teased cashing in the contract but kept attacking Michin. Bayley then ran down to even the odds. The match continued and Nia won after putting Michin through a table with a Samoan drop followed by the annihilator.
