WWE reportedly working with AI platform for storylines but early ideas have been described as “absurdly bad”

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Cyrus Kowsari was recently hired as WWE’s new Senior Director of Creative Strategy. Formerly a producer for Buzzfeed and the MMA promotion ONE, Kowsari was introduced to the creative team by Paul “Triple H” Levesque, who said Kowsari would lead WWE’s transition toward AI-driven storytelling and creative services like video and graphics. Kowsari will also act as a liaison to the White House as Levesque expands his political involvement.

It was also noted that WWE is currently working with Writer AI, a platform trained on WWE content. The software’s early ideas were described as “absurdly bad” by one person with knowledge of the situation and Meltzer was told that it “pitched a storyline where Bobby Lashley could come back as a wrestler who was obsessed with Japanese culture and history.”

Meltzer stated the following…

“The feeling is once bugs are worked out that AI will begin to have major impact on storyline direction. We are aware that another promotion previously tested out AI for creative help and suggestions and found it couldn’t understand pro wrestling and storylines.”
