WWE reportedly wants Jacob Fatu to have a “breakthrough” year in 2026
As seen during the October 17th 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown, Jacob Fatu was scheduled to have a match against Drew McIntyre. However, a mystery attacker ambushed Fatu backstage. Equipment was dropped onto Fatu, leaving him on the ground with blood visible and several teeth knocked out.
According to a report from BodySlam.net, WWE wants Jacob Fatu to have a “breakthrough” year in 2026 and it was set to gradually begin before he had to undergo dental surgery. BodySlam also noted that Fatu is currently expected to return to WWE programming in the early part of 2026.
Ahead of his return, Fatu was spotted at the BYU Cougars football game over the weekend.
