WWE reportedly turned down the opportunity of AJ Styles being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame
Rhino and Bob Ryder were inducted into TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame at Bound For Glory 2024. Matt Hardy recently noted that former TNA star Monty Brown had been considered for an induction.
According to Fightful.com, WWE’s AJ Styles was also discussed for the TNA HOF. However, WWE was said to have turned down the opportunity and people within TNA believe that it was due to Styles’ injury or active storyline. It appears that the door is still open for a Styles TNA HOF induction in the future and there is speculation that Styles would even consider the possibility of having another match in TNA.
At this time, there is no word regarding when Styles will return to WWE television. There have been conflicting reports about Styles following the October 4th 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown. At first, it was stated that Styles was not actually injured during his match with Carmelo Hayes. However, Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com wrote that what happened to Styles “was legit and not storyline.”
